“In order to provide optimal pain control for my clients, there needs to be a relationship built on mutual respect and collaboration. I feel that listening with compassion and sensitivity aids in the development of an effective plan of self care and the advancement of healthy coping skills that work in conjunction with manual and craniosacral therapy. My manual therapy approach is generally quite slow and gentle. I see it like this, if you were standing and you didn’t know that I was coming up behind you and I pushed you, you would likely brace, and not fall. I feel that often a body in pain braces when approached forcefully, reducing the lasting effectiveness of treatment”. Sharon DuChateau OTR
